HARRISON'S LIGHT: A LEGACY
OBITUARY
HARRISON MICHAEL LINDBLOOM
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Harrison “H” Lindbloom, who left us peacefully at home on January 11, 2025. He was 25 years old.
Born on April 27, 1999, H was a bright light. His warmth, intelligence, determination, compassion and humor touched everyone he met.
Growing up in Wayzata, H enjoyed many things: Orono speech team, golf, skiing, Chinese, gaming/computer geek stuff, emergency late night food runs, building cars, traveling, tutoring others in science, tutoring others with learning disabilities and spending time with his dogs. His focus and determination after high school was on animal science research at the University of Minnesota with the ultimate goal of earning a doctorate and becoming a professor. His aptitude, calmness and patience would have enabled him to be an amazing teacher.
H was diagnosed three years ago with an adrenal gland pheochromocytoma (aka Tony the Tumor). He went through a very complicated surgery which began his valiant fight against the repercussions from the removal. Even with unimaginable complications, he was determined to get to a new normal and live life at its fullest and not be defined by his medical challenges. He accomplished so much in these years, including marrying the love of his life, buying a house and getting a pocket dog “Wifi” to name just a few.
H leaves behind his husband, Nate Celeste, who has been one of his biggest champions throughout his time fighting this uphill health battle, mother Julie Lindbloom (Brian Van Zomeren), father Chad Lindbloom, sister Zoe Lindbloom (Reece Jacobson), in-laws Eric Celeste and Mary Hess and brother-in-law Alex Celeste. In addition, H had a wide circle of friends and extended family who will forever cherish his memory. Though his time with us was too short, the impact he made on this world will last forever. The kindness, humor and the love he shared with others will never be forgotten.
We invite you to celebrate “Harrison’s Light: A Legacy” with us on Thursday, April 17. In lieu of flowers, Harrison has asked that donations be made to these organizations in his honor. The Aliveness Project (aliveness.org). Can Do Canines (candocanines.org). University of Minnesota-Harrison Lindbloom Endowment (z.umn.edu/HarrisonLindbloom).
Our hearts are shattered by the loss of H, but we take comfort in the knowledge that his spirit lives on in the lives of those he touched. Rest in peace our beautiful Harrison. You will be missed more than words can express.
XOXO
